This is a different kind of interview, at the advice of someone. This is one where it's not facts or his personal favorites, but rather his answers to questions that just popped into my head, haha.

1- Why is the sky blue? Because of the sun's weather that makes it blue.

2- Why are cigarettes bad for you? Because they go down into your lungs and they your lungs and your heart and that could sometimes kill you.

3- If you won a million dollars, what would you buy? I would a mansion, I would buy a um, um, uh, a plasma TV, I would have a bunch of pets and I would have a bunch of kitties and I would have a helicoptor.

4- What kind of aliens do you think are out in space? None

5- Why is candy bad for you? Because it makes your teeth and it gives you bad breath and it's bad because it gives you cavities.

6- Why do you think it rains? I know why it rains, because all these tiny little droplets go up and form into a cloud and when too many get up there they all start to drop down.

7- What happened to the dinosaurs? Some people think that they ate too many plants and then all the plants were gone and they died and some people thought a giant meteor came down and hit the Earth and wiped out every dinosaurs except for the spiders, the aligators, the crocodiles, the bats and...I forget what else, but don't put that!

8- How many stars are in space? One hundred and eighty million hundred, including the Sun.

9- Do you think ghosts are real? I would have to pass on that one, yes I do think they are real.

10- What would happen if our sun went out? Our planet would be dark, cold, all of our plants would die, all of animals would start to die, all bats would start to die, insects would start to die, we would start to die and nothing would live here and we'd have to move to another planet.

11- How old is old to you? 100 years old

12- Do you want to get married someday and if so, what age? I want to get married at 19.

13- How many kids do you want to have? 1

14- Where do puppies come from? They come from their mother's butts.

15- Why do you think some people hurt other people sometimes? Because they are crazy, they are stupid, they are dumb, they don't know how to act, they drink, they drive and they re-end people with the cars, they make people drive into trees, because they are probably drunk taxi drivers...

16- Why do we have to go to the bathroom? Because food makes poop and water makes pee.

17- Where does Oxygen come from? Oxygen comes from the clouds, I don't know where it comes from...erase there erase there...erase clouds, I know where it comes from! Oxygen comes from trees.

18- Why do you think grass is green? Because the seeds and the dirt makes it green.

19- If whales weren't called whales, what do you think they'd be called? Uh...fish and the fish would be called whales.

20- Why does peanut butter and jelly taste so good? Because the peanut butter is rich and tasty and the jelly is made with grapes that taste so good except for the animals.....i give up on that one!

21- How do you think it would be if your ears didn't work? Thoughtless, I wouldn't be able to think about anything so I would be able to think and my ears help me to know what to hear and what to think about.

22- How many people do you think there are in America? One hundred thousand.

23- How does an egg turn into a bird? Because the bird comes out of it.

24- If the Moon crashed into the Earth, what would happen? Well, a whole part of the Earth, would be dead.

25- How old do you think you'll live to be? uh...100 hopefully, please

Tomorrow will mark Logan's first day, more or less of Kindergarten. Technically tomorrow is just orientation, we'll go in for an hour and a half or so and learn about his teacher, school, classroom and other things. He should also be at least getting on a bus and quite possibly going for a ride in the parking lot as well, so he seems to be excited about that part, so far. Tuesday will be his first official day of getting on the bus outside of our house and going to school on his own. I would be lying if I didn't say I was a little nervous...nervous about his bus ride and bullies and other crazy ass kids that might hurt him. I'm sure he'll be ok though, but none the less I am still nervous. I hope to take pictures tomorrow and as well Tuesday morning, so I'll try to post them up Tuesday night or Wednesday, so if enough of you are reading this, check back in a few days for some pics. That is all!! :D

Dentist

Logan's first official dentist appointment was last Tuesday. He did extremely well and aside from a few odd expressions at having his lips pulled this way and that and the flouride treatment, he was fine. I was VERY proud of him and just a little surprised that he didn't even seem nervous at all. I will admit it was a little odd being there by myself with him, doing something with him for the first time just him and I...something important I mean, but it was nice too. I mean, we HAVE done other things like the Zoo and the RailRoad...but I mean something serious like that. I'm also starting to try to mentally prepare for all of the rigors of sending him to school. I'm in a way happy that he hasn't grown much since last fall so a lot of his clothes which thankfully still look good will fit him. He will need new shoes...and of course a lunch box and backpack, so I'll mostly just be buying them, as well as a few items they send home in a letter that he will need. His first day will be August 28th which really is just a little over an hour where we both go in and learn about the school and his teacher and such, plus he gets to ride on a bus, or at least get on one! Then, the 29th is his first official day of school! He'll get the bus right outside of our house around 8:10 and be dropped off around 4:10, so that will be interesting to see how he is!!

I think I'll hold off on all of my thoughts about school and the such and see how he does...but needless to say I'm a little nervous, and not just because I'm more or less a single parent putting him in school, just the idea of how schools are these days and how early kids seem to do horribly stupid things. Bah...he'll be fine...maybe made fun of about his height when he gets older...but hopefully not just yet, haha.

That's all for now...no big plans until school so I doubt I'll have much to type about. Maybe I'll do an interview in a couple weeks just before school to see what his thoughts are on the subject. Until then...take it easy for all those who read this. :)

Philadelphia Zoo Interview

We went to the Zoo today...12- 5:45....long day...so hopefully this interview will go well...hehheh.

1) What was the BEST part of your day today? Seeing the female lion.

2) What was the worst part? Not seeing any male lions.

3) What were some of your favorite animals today? The monkeys, the gorillas and the bears and the tiger.

4) What did you hope to see but didn't? Nuffin...but the male lion.

5) How tired were your feet at the end of the day? Really really tired!!

6) Did you like the Channel 6 Weather Balloon? Yes I did.

7) How high did you go, do you remember? 45 feet.....400 feet.

8) If you could go again, what would you do differently? All the same stuff.

9) Name some animals they didn't have there but you would have liked to see? Male lion, wolf...kangaroo.

10) Did you ride any animals? Yeah...a horsey.

11) Would you have liked to ride any other animals? A camel and the swan boats.

12) What animals would you have liked to touch? Uhhhhhh...tiger...and a lion.

13) What was the coolest looking animal you saw? The gorilla, and the bear and the zebra and the gorillas and the monkeys and the lion and the tiger.

14) What was the weirdest looking one? The turantula with all it's hair.

15) Were any of the animals funny? Welll...the one monkey where he was swinging on the vine. Can I have a sip of your lemonade? Daddy....daddddyy...oh man...why you making that? Otay I'm gonna have a drink now.

16) Were any of them boring? Not the tiger, not the bears, not the polar bear, not the wild dogs...and no zebras. Nothing was boring....well...the ducks were boring.

I don't know how many of you actually view this...but his birthday pics are coming soon!! Sorry for the delay, a lot is going on in this house still and I have yet to get the scanner/printer hooked up to the PC to download the pics!! I'll try to get to it in the next couple of days and get some pics posted for your viewing pleasure!

Nothing new is going on with us or Logan lately. The house is a mess and I just found the vcrs and dvd players so he hasn't been able to watch his movies or play any games, but surprisingly he's been ok with just going outside. We have a nice driveway out back and a nice yard and if you can get passed the smell of horse/cow/pig crap it's not so bad outside. Once it gets too hot I'm sure he'll want to come back inside now, but I'm sure as heck not holding him back from going outside while it's nice out and he doesn't mind going outside a lone sometimes either.

He normally goes up to his mother's place on the weekends so it was also nice to have a couple days of peace and quiet, haha but I got very little done around here...but in truth I think I need the relaxation, and I slept in quite late today, so it was nice. I have one more week of work and then I am off for vacation. I am taking him to the Philadelphia Zoo with my mom on my vacation and have a couple other ideas as well, cheap ones I hope. If any of you have any cheap or free ideas for where I can take him during the week, during the day, please shout them out...except for maybe a day of bumming around I'd like to get him out of this house...although I fear the gas I'll have to buy!!!

PARTAY!!!

Ok, so I don't have any photos yet....hopefully I'll have some in a day or two, but Saturday was a good day for Logan's Birthday Party! A good amount of people showed up and it was nice outside!! Let's see, there was Logan, myself...my mother, Lauren, John and his wife Mel, Jackie and Sam, Jodi and Aaron, Aunt Lori, Mom Mom, Uncle Bob, Ryan and....um...his woman(forget her name). There was also Cori, Brenden and Callie as well. I think....that is it. Not a bad turn out if you ask me and Logan seemed quite pleased to have all of the people there as well as the gifts. Even after everyone left he couldn't decide what to play with and some of the packages still have yet to be opened...but it's only been two days, so that's no surprise.

I feel I must mention though how odd it was that a certain someone wasn't there helping to run the party. I felt slightly lost but I think I covered most of the bases...maybe didn't have enough food but ol'well...I'm not rich, haha.

To anyone who reads this who came, thanks for coming, it meant a lot to Logan and myself!

What Lurks In The Shadows

Just a quick note...since I'm working on about 2 hours of sleep from 4:15 to 6:45 or so...

I've noticed lately that Logan is increasingly growing more scared of the dark. The weird thing is...I haven't done anything mean or otherwise to him with the dark in a few months. Maybe all kids fall into being afraid of the dark, I don't know. What I do know is it's kind of annoying when I ask him to let his cat of his room when we get home at night...even if it's light out but kind of dark in the hallway, he still freaks out a bit. Thankfully he isn't TOO bad when it comes to sleeping in his own bed...but some nights he just hates it in there and I'm almost certain it's because of how dark it is. I've decided to curb his sleeping in my bed a bit...just down to 1 or 2 nights a week now and with a new and bright nite light in his room, I hope it helps.

On a side note...it's a little weird looking out the back window and seeing pitch black fields...so yeah...I can kind of understand where Logan is coming from...

Hello.

I've decided to create a blog to use soley for information, funny or not about Logan. As of today, April 25th, 2006 Logan is turning 5 years old. We have also moved into a new house and although I am waiting paperwork to sign, Kelly and I are in the process of a divorce. All of this, to me means a new chapter in my life, a new story to be told and I want to tell it. I've long since regretted not keeping a journal or something of the sort about Logan, and although there was a webpage at one point containing photos from right after his birth...a lot of the pages no longer work and it's too much of a pain to maintain. I am putting my faith into Blogger.com in hopes that the site lasts a very long time and that I can put my thoughts and feelings down about my son here. I suppose this is no different than saving a copy in Excel and later having your PC crash and losing it or writing it down in a journal and later losing that or something of the sort...so I am going to take a chance.

This blog is simply for fun, to help some of you who really are interested to keep track of a growing young man and the interesting things he and I are going to go through together. I hope this blog is entertaining for you and you decide to come back often to check it out....but obviously I cannot know that for a fact. There are some things however I would like to be made very clear about this blog.

*It is for fun...and I might even ask Logan if he has anything to say himself and will type it for him.

*This blog will not be shown or emailed to Kelly or any of her family, so I ask if you are included in this that you do not show her or anyone who might show her.

*This will NOT be a Kelly bashing blog although certain comments may arise it will be based solely on Logan and I.
